Aloe comes from inside the leaves of the aloe plant, and is a thick jelly substance. This active works as an inhibitor to matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). This enzyme breaks down collagen and elastin and causes a loss of skin elasticity. Blackberry extract works to stop the production of MMP, thus increasing the presence of collagen and elastin.
Works as an antioxidant on your skin. Centaurium erythraea is a species of pink flowering plant that is commonly prepared in a tea. It is thought to posses gastric and liver benefits when prepared for ingestion. Centaury extract contains phenolic acids, of which salicylic acid is a member.
